Situated in the leafy suburb of Gardens, right behind the Mount Nelson hotel and painted in the same famous pink colour, the Lady Hamilton was named after Lord Nelson’s beautiful mistress, Lady Emma Hamilton.

Gardens is located right above the city centre and is one of Cape Town’s oldest suburbs. The Lady Hamilton, built in the early 1950’s, has a distinct colonial feel and is surrounded by historical buildings. It is within walking distance of vibrant Kloof Street with its trendy and quaint shops, deli’s, top restaurants and coffee shops.

Table Mountain towers above Gardens and the cable car is a short drive away. The city centre by way of the Company Gardens and the historic Parliament is a brisk 15 minute walk away.

The gracious Lady Hamilton Hotel welcomes you with the smell of freshly brewed coffee as you step into the spacious reception and adjacent cosy lounge area. Friendly reception staff speak several languages and can assist with tours and bookings as well as with car hire.

There is a computer available for guests to use, as well as wireless internet access in the reception area.

A unique feature of the Lady Hamilton is the lovely pool which is totally protected against the wind and forms the heart of the property.
